Who reports to CDP?

Horizontal bar chart titled 'Growth in CDP Supply Chain Disclosures 2008-2022' with years listed on the vertical axis and number of suppliers on the horizontal axis. Gray bars represent total suppliers requested to disclose, and blue bars show total suppliers who disclosed through CDP. The data indicates increasing trends over time, with significant growth in disclosures especially from 2018 onward, peaking in 2022.

A majority of the world’s largest companies, including 91% of the FTSE 100 and 82% of the S&P 500, use CDP to report environmental impacts and increasingly expect their suppliers to do the same. If your company isn’t yet reporting to CDP, you may soon be asked to do so by a major customer.

Over the past 15 years, companies asked by customers to report to CDP have surged from 2,318 to over 47,000, yet only 41% responded in 2022. To ensure compliance, companies like Microsoft, Telstra, and Pfizer have made CDP reporting a requirement for their suppliers.
